American Jews and Democrats - Part II

Before I dig in, take a look at this: Republican Ted Cruz goes after Democrat Beto O’Roarke on the latter’s stance on Israel (bolding added):

O’Rourke was one of only eight Congressman who voted against funding for Israel’s Iron Dome Missile Defense system. He explained that he recognizes Hamas as a terrorist organi3zation and supports Israel, but felt the bill was rushed.

According to the Cruz campaign, O’Rourke also opposed “a resolution in the U.S. House that objected to a United Nations measure, UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which undermined the United States’ support for Israel.”
So… which party supports Israel again?  And just to add to my first two letters to you, this one and this one, see here:

In Part I of this third letter to you I addressed some of the history of the Jews in America and their indoctrination into the Democrat’s fold.  In particular, note this – that American Jews are putting their religion aside in favor of their politics, and then twisting their religion to rationalize those politics:

[Plopping Jews / 7:20]
For more detail, please see the essay he based this on; Why Jews Support the Democratic Party.  And this is a great book:

Why?  You’ve been operant-conditioned like lab rats for generations by American Leftist educators, er, indoctrinators; Why Israeli Jews are Conservative and American Jews are Leftist (bolding added):

Generations of American Jews have been indoctrinated to think of left-wing ideas as elementally Jewish. They are unaware of any conflict between their ideas and their origins. But to many Israeli Jews, left-wing agendas are antithetical to Jewish values. Middle Eastern Jewish refugees and Soviet Jews had to defy the left to remain Jewish.
The Soviet-origin Jews that I know are overwhelmingly and vehemently anti-Left; maybe it's personal experience with the effects of Socialism?  (Just as Cuban refugees are also on the Right; again, personal experience... and with all the concern over refugees, why are Venezuelan refugees not being brought to the US?  I suspect the same reason - they won't be good Leftist voters; similarly the blocking by the Left of the Vietnamese boat people.)  And not unrelated – there’s a reason so many Mizrahi Jews are far, far more supportive of a strong and secure Israel (and Likud), and far less trusting of the Muslims, than many Ashkenazi Jews… experience:

While no politician is above criticism, President Trump gets high marks for his friendliness to Israel, Column One: The peril of politicized antisemitism:

Last week he agreed to sell Israel mid-air refueling planes. His predecessor, Barack Obama, refused to sell Israel the aircraft in order to protect Iran’s nuclear sites from Israeli air strikes. Trump agreed to sell them to enable such Israeli strikes in the event they become necessary.
This week, Trump approved UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s determination that the US should withdraw from the institutionally antisemitic UN Human Rights Council. The Obama administration joined the council claiming it would use its membership to influence the council for the better and proceeded to legitimize council’s anti-Jewish witch hunt for eight years.
Contrast this with Obama’s betrayal of Israel by not vetoing UN Security Council resolution 2334, a move widely blasted from the Right.  Add in Obama giving Iran, literally, pallets of fungible cash (over one billion dollars for sure, and may have gotten much more) that have been tied to Iran-sponsored terrorism.

You know, Iran… that country that has as one of its central doctrines the destruction of Israel.  In general, consider that a man is defined by his actions and who he treats well vs. treats poorly:

And from the same article as the quote above, reinforcing that the Republicans are Israel’s friends while the Democrats are increasingly hostile:
Much has been made of the fact that support for Israel is becoming a partisan issue. Whereas Republicans are almost unanimous in support for the US alliance with Israel, support among Democrats is flagging and becoming a minority view on the rapidly growing far Left.
Rising stars in the Democratic Party, including Rep. Ellison and Women’s March leaders Tamika Mallory and Linda Sarsour along with the Congressional Black Caucus embrace Louis Farrakhan, and defend his notorious, virulent hatred of Jews. They demonize Israel and its Jewish supporters.
Far from being attacked or otherwise denounced for their actions, these Democrats are advanced and promoted. Ellison is the vice-chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Mallory and Sarsour, Maxine Waters and other members of the CBC are feted by party leaders including Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
Democratic Jews have to date refused to mobilize to oppose them in any significant way. Indeed, in some cases they support anti-Semites.
Supporting anti-Semites – open anti-Semites – to maintain your political side?  That's like chickens voting for Colonel Sanders against Popeyes.  And the Left-Right divide on support for Israel is accelerating (bolding added):
A new Pew Research Center survey shows that the divide between Democrats and Republicans regarding their support for Israel over the Palestinians is at its largest in the past four decades.
The report shows that while 79 percent of Republicans sympathize more with Israel, only 27 percent of Democrats do. This is the largest divide between the two parties’ views on the issue since the poll was first conducted in 1978. That year, the divide between the two parties was a mere 5 points; since that time, the gap has widened steadily.
The survey also shows that Republican sympathy toward Israel has grown by 29 points since 2001, while support for Israel by Democrats has declined by about 11 points over the same time.

Let me quote in-full a comment on one of my posts by the author of Minds of a Feather:

There are few real American Jews.
There are many who *call* themselves Jews, attend synagogue on some Friday nights and some holidays, and send their children to a familiarization course to learn about Jewish holidays and traditions. But for the most part, they are not Jews. They are acting the part of Jews, but they are not Jews.
They pray "Next Year in Jerusalem!" and then condemn Israel for applauding the US embassy's move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. They mourn the destruction of the Second Temple, and then condemn those who object to Muslim restrictions on Jewish open prayer at the Wailing Wall. They talk about the Pogroms in Russia and the horrors of the Holocaust, and then refuse to arm themselves in self-defense while condemning those who do - in a country where the 2nd Amendment guarantees them the right to "keep and bear arms".
They attend religious services in the pretense of being religious, but then hold conversations and walk around while others are in prayer. And then they are the loudest to condemn those who ask them to be silent during silent devotion.
They vote in lockstep with a Democrat party that has publicly condemned Israel at its political conventions. They support Democrat candidates and the entire Democrat platform (which includes enthusiastic support for lawbreakers, support for sexual deviance and deviants in schools, and support for a socialist state) and then complain about hypocrisy in politics. They speak of the 5th Commandment, "Thou shalt not murder" (that's the *literal* translation), but then support abortion and Planned Parenthood.
These are not Jews. These are hypocrites who do not have the strength of their own convictions. These are people whose actions give strength to anti-Semites. These are people who give cause to laugh whenever someone references anyone who is Jewish.
These are people who, to be frank, should stop calling themselves Jews. Those who actually *are* Jews would be thankful for it.

In the science fiction book Spock’s World, Surak, the progenitor of a new philosophy of logic and emotional control on the planet – horrified by seeing the devastation of an anti-matter bomb test on the planet’s moon, T’Khut – was in the desert when he saw that moon backlighting Mount Seleya and precisely split between a sunlight half and the dark side:

T’Khut was looming up behind [the mountain], as if to show him the way. Silhouetted against the coppery light and the dark side with its uneasy volcanoes, was the peak: tall and slender in its top two thirds, slumped down a bit towards the foot of the cone, as if from some old melting – black, silent, huge enough even at this distance to block out a third of T’Khut’s immense bulk.  Mount Seleya stood there, precisely dividing T’Khut’s brightness and darkness, one from the other.  The image, or perhaps the mountain, seemed to say: Here is your choice, the light or the darkness, with its fires.  It has always been your choice.  It is late.  Choose now.
My fellow American Jews, the choice is yours.  And it is a binary choice.  It is late.  Choose now.
You can either choose to remain with the Left because it more closely matches your Leftist values… but understand that Left is increasingly hostile towards you because you are Jewish and increasingly allying with those who openly want Israel destroyed.  (Just what does “From the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free” mean if not that?)
Or you can choose to investigate the Right; this doesn’t mean rushing out to register with the GOP but to be open-minded.  Consider that Christians are some of the strongest supporters of Israel in the US; e.g., Christians United for Israel and International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.  Never mind Trump and the Rights' country-mile lead over the Democrats in supporting Israel.
Given the increasing anti-Semitism (let alone violence) on the Left will you #walkaway?

If you choose the former, to summarize the Minds of a Feather quote... just admit you've forgotten Jerusalem.

"I do not coexist with cancer; I do not find common ground with gangrene.  The Left must be fought and destroyed, or America dies."
